System Maintenance

A  correctly installed Solar system should require little maintenance and indeed with a Solar Electric or Photo-voltaic system, there are no moving parts and these really only require a visual check, with perhaps a more detailed inspection by a professional after 5 years.

Solar thermal systems however, do have moving parts and with systems filled with anti-freeze, this should be replaced every 5 years to ensure it’s properties in sub zero temperatures, which we seem to be experiencing only too frequently in recent winters. Also all safety devices and pressures should be checked annually, especially with unvented cylinders.

Heat pumps should also have a maintenance visit annually, the details of which will be stipulated by the manufacturer.

Wind turbines require annual maintenance and checks to ensure the integrity of blades and any other moving parts.

Our standard cost is £65.00 ex VAT if within 10 miles of our offices at Glover Industrial Estate, Washington. Locations further away will incur standard travelling charges dependant upon mileage, please contact us for details.
