Solar Photo-Voltaic Systems - Systems installed from £4,750.00 inc per kiloWatt (kWp).
Solar Photo-voltaic systems or PV's consist of a number of PV panels connected together to form an array. The electricity produced by the system is Direct Current and is fed into an Inverter. This inverts the DC electricity into Alternating Current electricty which has a frquency and voltage that is acceptable to be connected into the National Grid.
With the introduction of the Governments new Feed-In-Tariff (FIT) PV systems can give a retrun of up to 36.5p for every kWh of electricity produced, plus an additional 5p for every kWh exported to the grid. A further saving will be made from all energy produced and used on site, which hence has not been imported from the grid. For further information please follow our link to the governments guide to FITs ConsultationonRenewableElectricityFinancialIncentives2009
